Hello, I’m Will Falcao!

I’m a Sport Psychology consultant, a researcher, and an educator. I hold a Master’s degree in Sport Psychology from McGill University, in Montreal, Canada. I also hold three undergraduate degrees in Psychology from the University of Brasilia, in Brazil. My Psychology undergraduate degrees are a Professional degree, a Bachelor degree, and a Teaching degree.

I’m a well-rounded individual with experience in Sport Psychology consulting, research and teaching. I’m also assertive, dynamic, well-spoken, and I relate well with others. I’m a very dedicated professional, who enjoys helping athletes and students perform their best. Feel free to contact me or if you have any questions or if you would like to schedule an appointment.

Sport Psychology consulting

I’ve always been passionate about all sports. As I got involved in sport competitions I became increasingly interested in the psychology behind sport performances. That interest motivated me to pursue an education in Sport Psychology. Currently I am a member of the Canadian Sport Psychology Association. I have over 500h of experience working as a Sport Psychology consultant with varsity and professional athletes in many sports. I’m well versed in strategies and themes that can help athletes improve their performance. I have helped athletes improve their focus, control their anxiety, increase their motivation, achieve their performance goals, and others. Click here for more information.

Research

In addition to working with athletes, I’m also interested in research. As part of my Bachelor degree I volunteered in many labs doing research in Social, Environmental, School, and Sport Psychology, and Psychometrics. I have experience using quantitative and qualitative research methods. In my Master’s degree at McGill University I focused my research efforts in Sport Psychology. More specifically using qualitative methods to develop a coach education program designed to create and deliver activities that promoted life skills through sport. Click here for more information.

Teaching

I also have experience as an educator. In Brazil I was a Special Education Assistant Teacher at the American School of Brasilia. As a graduate student at McGill I was invited to tutor statistics. My statistics knowledge acquired volunteering in labs, my accomplishments in the graduate level statistics courses at McGill, and my teaching experience all qualified me to become a tutor. I tutor undergraduate and graduate level statistics courses. I have tutored individual students, small groups, and full classrooms. I also have experience tutoring students with learning disabilities. Click here to learn more.
